Top Five Dylan Songs of the Day

I’m not the a Dylanologist by any means, but prompted by a recent conversation, I wanted to put down my top five Dylan songs at the moment.

1. Don’t Think Twice It’s Alright

It sounds like it’s always existed; I can’t fathom one person sitting down and putting it together.

2. I Want You

That harmonica and electric organ melody gets me every time.  Also, the imagery is amazing.

3. Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again

You can’t have “I Want You” and not follow it up with this song.

4. I Dreamed I Saw Saint Augustine

There are so many fantastic songs on John Wesley Harding.  It was the first Dylan album I listened to obsessively.

5. Tonight I’ll Be Staying Here with You

Nashville Skyline became my go-to, upbeat Dylan album for quite a while.  This is a perfect way to end that album.
