The Evens
Well, this isn’t a post solely about The Evens.  I had been digging around for more information about Robedoor, an LA nosie duo, when I came across an out of print CDR of theirs on archive.org.  (I had previously used this site as a place to find old public service films and other ephemera.  Please watch “A Date with Your Family” and/or “Duck and Cover,” if you have a moment.
In addition to the wonderful Prelinger Archives, which houses these films and around 2,000 others, archive.org also hosts the Live Music Archive, a collection of 64,000+ concert recordings.  Many of these are by jam bands, but there are also some surprises.
I browsed a bit and found 39 Acid Mothers Temple shows (arguably a jam band themselves), 14 Animal Collective shows, 46 A Silver Mt. Zion shows, 46 Bily Bragg shows, 34 Butthole Surfers shows, 16 Dismemberment Plan shows, 12 fIREHOSE shows, 13 Fugazi shows, and 1 The Evens show.
